The crafting of a superior gunsmith department
America’s Gunsmith Shop was founded in 1979 in Wilmot, WI. During the early years, it was a one-man operation housed in a 200-square-foot shop. By the late 80’s, the shop expanded and staff size grew, along with a host of professional services and accessories. America’s Gunsmith Shop has become known for its quality work and reasonable prices. Today, the Shop employs over a dozen of craftsmen that repair thousands of firearms every year. Each firearm is treated as custom work as the team utilizes their skills and knowledge using only modern machines and the finest materials to complete each project. The Gunsmiths have even adopted their own slogan, quality, integrity & expertise. "We will treat your firearm as if it was ours, and we will guarantee it."
The Story of Our People

Jack Rubach
After completing his studies at the Colorado School of Trades, Jack began work in Northern Wisconsin as a gunsmith. In 1986 he moved to Wilmot, WI and began working for one of the nation's leading gunsmiths where he was a fixture for over 30 years. Today, Jack leads the team of gunsmiths at America's Gunsmith Shop in Kenosha, WI.

Tom Menge
Tom's great love for hunting opened a path that naturally led to gunsmithing. After serving in the Marine Corp, Tom entered the Colorado School of Trades where he graduated in 1982. He worked several years as a gunsmith in Merrill, WI before beginning his career at one of the nation's leading gunsmiths in 1987. Tom brings over 35 years of experience to America's Gunsmith Shop.
Tom doesn't hunt as much as he used to, but he still loves the outdoors. He does a lot more fishing these days and loves canoeing and biking with his family.
